An eBook is a book presented in a format which allows it to be read on a computer or smart device such as a tablet or iPhone.

An audiobook is a recorded reading of a book that you can listen to. We offer audiobooks on CD’s that can be checked out at the library or digitally that can be accessed on a phone, computer or tablet.
Benefits of audiobooks-
You can read or listen to downloaded books through the free app Libby. This is a free app created by OverDrive and is available for Android, IOS and Windows 10 devices. You can even have eBooks delivered to a Kindle or Kindle App through Libby. Libby is designed for reading on a tablet or mobile device. ATTENTION! Due to a security update, Libby requires a PIN to login. Please use the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Prefer to read on a desktop? You can borrow eBooks and audiobooks from your library’s Missouri Libraries 2 Go collection. Missouri Libraries 2 Go is web based and designed for reading on a desktop.
Our Tumblebooks collection has over 1100 titles, with content most appropriate for those in grades K-6. It includes animated talking picture books, chapter books, videos, non-fiction titles, graphic novels, playlists, and books in French and Spanish. In addition, it offers skill building through puzzles and games.
With your library card, you have access to Hoopla. Hoopla is an all-in-one media service where you can browse hundreds of titles in six different formats—audiobooks, eBooks, comics/graphic novels, full music albums, movies, and TV—and instantly borrow, then download or stream, the titles of your choice!
You can also download and borrow eBooks through EBSCO to read on your computer or reader app. EBSCO eBooks also have the added feature of being able to download PDF versions of their available books.
